It is with great sadness and disbelief to announce the unexpected passing of Cole Thornton at the age of 35.  Cole leaves behind his wife Amber and 3 young children.
Cole was a very special person with a heart as big as the planet earth. He would light up any room he entered with his smile, contagious laughter, and larger than life personality. He loved and cared deeply for everyone around him. Family and friends were the utmost importance to him, they were his everything.

​Pre-registration  September match

Yavapai Rangers registration process to speed up, make it easier for you to register, keep social distancing, and get on a posse you would like to shoot with.  Please pre-register by emailing me at gkirkham@iccs-k8.org.  with your name, alias, shooting category, and posse request.  If you pre-register, then please bring an envelope with your alias and monthly match fees of $10 for members and $15 for non-members.  Please provide the exact amount if paying with cash. Please make out checks to Yavapai Rangers. 

If you have not renewed your annual dues, they are $25.00 for the 1st shooter and $20.00 for your spouse. 

Please note the following:  For April through September registration is at 8 with shooting at 9.  For October through March registration is at 9 with shooting at 10. 

Another match to help us train for Bordertown. 
Registration for this September match starts at 8 with shooting at 9.

Masking on the Range

​Regarding the so called requirement to wear a mask on Federal lands to include National Forest's. Below, cut and pasted directly from the White House website where all executive orders can be read in their entirety. The fifth line in this paragraph clearly uses the word "Should". Not "must", not "will be required" or "shall". The Arizona Yavapai Rangers want all of our shooters to feel comfortable at our matches.

Therefore, beginning with our Feb. 27th match we will offer the option of being on a "masked" posse for those who would feel more comfortable interacting with a mask.

"Accordingly, to protect the Federal workforce and individuals interacting with the Federal workforce, and to ensure the continuity of Government services and activities, on-duty or on-site Federal employees, on-site Federal contractors, and other individuals in Federal buildings and on Federal lands should all wear masks, maintain physical distance, and adhere to other public health measures, as provided in CDC guidelines."
